I had and the plastic piece busted off.

The PEC double squares are the ones you want to look for at Harry Epsteins.  The PEC's don't have any plastic on them and where the one in you picture is black, the PECs are Blu or Blue-Gray.  I have 4 of the PEC's and they are solid, three of the four inch and one six inch.

Here is the rest of the update ...

test fit .. overall went well ... minus the dang 1/16 gap on the hinge side or so ... 7/8 from edge on the Blum manual seems like it should have been 15/16 or 1” or something. Otherwise I am missing something else 🤷‍♂️.... I’ll get some pics of that once I reinstall them after breakfast

here the doors are getting some finish.

cant be too mad though learning lots through this and only the 2nd time I’ve actually made cabinet doors and outside the gap the other stuff came out pretty good.

Figured out my issue with the door ... even the though hinges said full overlay, they are actually inset hinges. Gotta love Amazons seller descriptions. Now debating on making them inset so I dont need to order more hinges at the moment.

these are what I ordered ... however looking at the pictures in there, they show inset 😞

Here they are installed ... for now

Also, the wife helped with organization as well in the shop today to get a lot of things put up in the cabinets .. power cords hung op out of the way next to the sink and found a nice spot for hearing protection for me and the boy

Great progress.

Find the hanger for your fire extinguisher and mount it in an unobstructed area, in a path of egress.

Thanks!

Ya I was just getting it out of the floor there to clean up. Need to find a hanger for it the first one broke. I do have one mounted by my pencil sharpener on the back patio door though.

While laying out the spots for my holes and marking the cabinets as well I was tightening up the double 90 6" ruler I had and the plastic piece busted off. IT was one of those harry epsteins or whatever the site is with the blemished tools. So that was annoying as I really did like it and worked great for the 2 years or so I have had it.

I have two of these squares by far my favorite layout tool. I got mine from HE also they are listed as PEC on the website. The blades are not marked PEC like my blue 6” square is. The 4” is so much easier to handle an use.

edit. I lied mine are marked PEC on the blade the handle is black but the spring lock is all metal. Had to run downstairs an check after I wrote this.

yep it was a great tool while it lasted. I enjoyed it and that is why I already ordered 2 more 1 each (4" and 1 6")

Up next in the shop I am thinking 2 shelf units on the counter top ... not sure what all I should store there minus smaller things. gonna add a spot for sand paper and screws and stuff. Not sure what else I should be looking to put or store up here.

I have a few smaller shelves in this location in my shop but, they're pretty much build for specific items..  I know I showed that stuff in one of the videos but, I don't recall which one..

There's an angled shelf for the block sanders and 2 other shelves for video stuff and one for the glue bottle..

I have a garage for my Drill, Driver and jigsaw with the charger on one side and my oscillating spindle sander on the other.
